So long...

Hi everyone,

This may be my last journal entry of DeviantART. I'll try not to make it too long and sappy, but I can't make many promises.

dA has always been the place where I felt I could find myself. And I did, among the creative community of artists, visionary people touched by the fire-like beauty of the horse. But my life has moved me in ways that are lovely, complex, and sometimes downright fucking stupid. I think my place in this world is bound to come upon me, and some things and life are unfortunate stones that we just can't carry. I've tried to hang on to digital art forever and it has finally slipped from my hands. I've lost the ability to sit down and work on a piece. The world must be trying to tell me something, I think it's been trying to get my attention for a long time, and only now at the beginning of my senior year am I beginning to realize.

I think a part of me is a manipulator, a writer, maybe even an illustrator. But another part of me (a more dominate part, I must admit) is a human. Other than that I'm an artist, and I wouldn't have found that part of me if it weren't for this place and the aspiring community. I want to thank everyone out there who inspired me, my watchers who proved ever faithful to the good pieces and the bad ones. You are all so supportive, and I don't know where I might be without a glimpse of your art or the line that you commented. I appreciate everyone here, you're all wonderful people, and I'll remember you wherever my art takes me.

I'm going to carry my camera in hand all the while, and try to have photography as my focus if I ever decide to make my way over this art-block mountain. I'm ready to do things that are different and moving, reach into the corners with open hands and find all the dust I can capture in just one lens. I'll get another account up and moving... Maybe the link will be my next journal, my last one as FloweringFatality.

Hopefully you all will join me on my next adventure though the eye of my camera's lens, I can't wait to start this new journey.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Just because we all knew what was going to happen at the end and we were still crying when it happened.

Well, I want all of them. xD But specifically either Andalusian or some Iberian cross. I do kinda already have my dream horse <3

I know Spanish pretty well. But I want to learn German really bad.

Difficult Times


Hi everyone! So it's summer for me, and that would usually mean tons of time for art, riding, role-play, and photography (saving up for a Nikon D3200 now, it is the best thing ever, omg!!!!!!). I mean I do have time for some art and writing stuff, but a lot of my time I'm dedicating to the barn. My instructor is going through a very difficult time in her life, with the passing of her stepdaughter and the poor fitness of the horses, so she really needs my help. I've been feeding for her and managing the clean-up of her place. She suffers with hoarding and depression disorders and while she miraculously keeps every animal is in excellent condition, she's kind of forgotten herself. So I'm going out to help her as best I can. We're on a progressive roll to getting all 14 horses in shape. So far as week one ends here, we've made leaps in progress. Apparently, horses bounce back rather easily! My guy, Malachi, is expecting a summer of endurance trails and maybe some beach rides in our future. I'm really looking forward to a horse-y summer, and hopefully lots of trail-riding pictures!

But Art...


On the artistic hand, things are beginning to open up at last. I should mention that all money from commissions goes directly into my Horse Fund. My Horse Fund is a donation-oriented account that fuels the success of my barn. Without it, I'm not so sure my horses would have what they need this summer. I'm really aiming to grow that account balance so I could purchase a saddle that actually fits Malachi, a fly sheet now and then, or a much needed sheepskin half-pad. I don't really know if I have enough money right now to buy flyspray next month... But art commissions should be helping with that! I have three places filled, with Kiribans in progress, so expect lots of art coming from me in the next few weeks!  I'm going to try to keep my journal weekly-updated so everyone knows what to expect. I am open for one last order if anyone wants to note me!

I'm excited to announce more art! I'm trying to develop more dynamic and movement to my pieces because I look back and see a very stiff pattern of horses trotting at the same angle in my gallery. They are plain and surface, as far as the eye can see, so know I'm really trying to bring that pattern to a standstill. Hopefully you'll like this new style!

Hi guys. I am so busy with school that I never got the chance to so much as touch my tablet all January. All of you who have paid in advance, I'm doing yours first thing as soon as a time slot opens up for me. I'm involved in a few large committees at school and everything is happening all at once. You will get your art, no fret! This goes to people who I owe prizes, gifts, and kiribans as well. I am very overwhelmed at the moment, but your art will be completed as soon as I can get it finished in the following months.
